I live just round the corner and have been a few times for drinks and the (fab!) wine club but shamefully have never tried the Sunday roast before today! An absolute 10/10. My partner had the beef, I had the lamb, both meals were absolutely fantastic, everything on the plate was delicious. Great wine, lovely staff. The restaurant was packed and I’m so pleased as this place deserves to be busy. Thank you - we will be back the very next time we can get a Sunday reservation!

Best Sunday Roast we’ve had in Manchester!! Came here for my partners birthday and the food did not disappoint! Lovely soup for starter, and a delicious roast dinner. The portion size was perfect! Amazing service, they gave my partner a complementary Prosecco for his birthday which was a lovely touch. Will definitely go again!

A Delightful Culinary Experience at Elnecot I recently had the pleasure of dining at Elnecot, a gem of a restaurant nestled on Blossom Street in Ancoats, Manchester. From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the vibrant yet comfortable atmosphere that perfectly befits a Monday evening outing. With ample outdoor seating amidst a lively neighborhood filled with bars and eateries, Elnecot truly stands out for its exceptional culinary offerings and ambient charm. The meal began with their signature Wagyu beef burger, which was nothing short of perfection. The patty was juicy and cooked to precision, nestled in a soft bun that complemented the rich flavors beautifully. Accompanying it were the beef dripping chips, which were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside—an indulgent side that I couldn't get enough of. One of the standout dishes was the Disco cabbage, cannellini, and salmoriglio-marinated pork belly. The vibrant mix of flavors and textures was a true testament to the innovative and modern British cuisine Elnecot is known for. The hearty coral lentil dahl with soy yolk and furikake was another highlight, offering a comforting yet sophisticated taste that resonated well with my palate. For those who relish fresh, quality cheese, the British burrata paired with salt-baked beets, Honest Toil olive oil, sherry vinegar, and tamari seeds was an absolute delight. The creamy burrata harmoniously balanced with the earthiness of the beets, and the pesto added a delightful burst of flavor. Lastly, no visit to Elnecot would be complete without their bread served with beef dripping. It was well-prepared and provided a warm, comforting start to the meal. Overall, Elnecot impressed me with its thoughtful menu and exquisite food preparation. Whether you're a local or just visiting, make sure to stop by this extraordinary restaurant in Ancoats—a true culinary haven that never fails to deliver a delightful dining experience.

Came for a Sunday roast and was a 10/10 experience. The staff were so lovely and welcoming from the second we arrived, our waitress was so attentive. I had specific dietary requirements and they were taken so seriously by the staff, I felt so reassured. The food was so delicious as well. Loved it.

I’ve been there a few times, the food are always amazing. But that’s the first time I had their Sunday Roast. We ordered, wagyu rump, lamb shoulder, pork belly set. All are amazing! The only downside might be we were sitting nearby the entrance and it was quite cold when the door opened and cold wind blew in.

This was by far the best roast I've ever had in a restaurant! Perfectly tender lamb seasoned with Rosemary, everything was so flavoursome. The pigs in blankets with honey and mustard glaze were to die for. I couldn't fault it at all and would recommend to everyone, 10/10!

Great vegan date night!! There aren’t many fancy dinner places in the centre that are vegan/ do decent vegan options. Here there were 6 vegan options on the menu - we ordered 5 and they were all incredible!! My boyfriend isn’t vegan and loved them - we will definitely be coming back - really enjoyed it!! They even had a vegan sticky toffee pudding which was delicious!
